“I Started growing my first cannabis plants in Parma, Ohio 1988 when I was only 12.  I purchased my first two seedling starts with my lunch money for $2.  Been addicted to and passionately growing cannabis plants ever since.  After being released from an Ohio prison for Psilocybin in 1997, after serving 3-15 year sentence, I knew I had to stay in my own lane and grown my own cannabis to maintain my freedom.  Cannabis was my only escape from the twilight zone a post-incarceration society becomes.  For the world, psilocybin is the cure for PTSD and Depression, for me it was indirectly the cause.  Soon after my release I discovered John Hartmann, the original founder of Ohio’s NORML in my quest for anything I can learn about cannabis.  His assistant gifted me with my first name genetics that weren’t from bag seed.  Afghani #1: a true breeding landrace, Jack Herer, Northern Lights #5, Wheelchair, Panama Red and Panama Tan.  When I moved to Athens, Ohio in 1999, I planted all the remaining afghani #1 seeds to find a male and female so I could preserve the genetics and always have the option to keep growing it.  I also wanted to create my own strain so I crossed the female Jack Herer with a male Northern Lights #5.  This was the first time I really saw incredible parents combine for the even crazier F1 vigor of completely different parental lineages.  Once you experience this, popping your own seeds is addictive.  My buddy x, grew out a few hundred of these seeds and every single one created an almost identical phenotype of each other.  They were as uniform as the true breeding landrace afghani seeds I was accustomed to before.  This new unique strain was dubbed, “The Ripper” by one of ekoostic hookah’s stage managers, “Wobbler“.  The bud/flower was amazing structure, easy to grow and trim, cloned fast and produced insane amounts of powdered kief. Just dumped kief.  Truly a phenomenal F1.
